Alex Forte

Alex Forte is a Cleveland-based hip hop/rap artist known for his jazzy soul infused beats blended with authentic and versatile lyrics.  Inspired by the likes of Q-Tip, Kid Cudi and J.Cole, Alex Forte started making music at 12 and has been etching his rare stretch ever since.

Growing up in Cleveland, Alex Forte found early inspiration in from earlier hip hop records like ‘College Dropout’ by Kanye West and ‘Midnight Marauders’ by A Tribe Called Quest. This pushed him to seek out his family’s musical influences within Jazz, Soul and R&B. This led him to a sound that blends several genres such as Jazz Fusion, Brazilian Jazz, MPB and Reggae.  His music explores themes of self-identity in the lens of black man and the role of certifying his consciousness of what it means to experience freedom. He uses the topics of love, culture and social commentary to speak out the themes and provide the audience with a sound of joy and fulfillment.

Since releasing ‘Black’, Alex Forte has collaborated with artists and produced for others also. Known for his soul stirring production along with his visionary lyrics, Alex continues to push creative boundaries created all around him by what culture dictates.

Currently independent, Alex Forte is working on a project called Morena, with the new music slated for release June 3rd 2025.
